The Lake Hallstatt area is surrounded by striking mountains such as Dachstein, Krippenstein, Loser, Feuerkogel, and the Totes Gebirge – ideal for hiking, biking, canoeing, skiing, or panoramic viewpoints. Many peaks are reachable within 10–30 minutes and offer unforgettable outdoor experiences year-round.
